I woke up this morning, looked outside, and saw no snow. And this is on the day that all of the news channels have been talking about some Massive Blizzard of Death the likes of which western Washington hasn’t seen since 1996. I was kind of disappointed, particularly because I woke up 15 minutes early to allow for the roads to be crappy.
It started to snow while I was getting dressed, and by the time I left for work, I’m guessing maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch was on the ground. No biggie, but the highways hadn’t been plowed, so it was good that I had the extra drive time. (People in the fast lane were going 30 mph – fun!) As the morning wore on, the snow started to get progressively heavier & heavier, as predicted. So I got sent home from work around 11:00 this morning. Hooray!
I guess I got a little excited about having the afternoon off, because I took all these pictures of the snow outside of my apartment as soon as I got home. Ok, I’m a geek. And I love my digital camera.
Alright, I’m gonna go make some nice, hot soup for lunch, then curl up in bed & read for the rest of the afternoon. Ah, bliss…
