I have had laser surgery. Not for this, but for corrective purposes. But you know, it’s a LOT simpler and less scary than it sounds. I think you’ll be really pleasantly surprised when it’s over.

We’ll be sending you hugs on Friday, though, because any surgery is just plain scary.

The surgery you are going in for is sought after by the folks I work with. I think by this point, they have a very good system. I haven’t met anyone here that has a bad thing to say about the surgery. We’ll be thinking about you!

I’m sorry you have to have the surgery, but so glad you’re catching it early! Glaucoma’s nasty, so good for you for being proactive. :-)

Hey…just wanted to leave you a note of encouragement. My father-in-law just had this surgery last month and he absolutely RAVES about how smooth and uneventful it was. He had a little bit of painkillers right after, but he seemed fine in a few days. He’s in his 70’s and not in the best of health, so I was really surprised.

And, he said how much better he can see now and that he wishes he had done it years earlier. Hope you have the same smooth experience!
