The blog of a girl and her family, trying to re-adjust to life in the South after spending the past decade north of the Mason-Dixon line. Hilarity is sure to ensue.

Yup, she's a libra. I was supposed to be a libra as well, since my due date was the same as her birthday, but mom had a c-section 2 weeks early. And it went really well, of course! However it happens, babygirl will be out soon, safe and sound. Can't wait!

I'd heard the cardinal rule Don't Cut Your Hair as well, so I didn't. I'd also heard the rule about shoes (as in, don't buy any while you're pregnant). I'm just glad that your bangs were the only thing you cut! I've heard horror stories of crew cuts.

Hair reminds me: make sure you have clippies and hair bands in your hospital bag. If you are in labor, something annoying like hair in your face might be just the thing that causes you to snap and kill someone.

Cat - I noticed the two week difference in our respective mama/baby birthdays too. Very funny. And we'll all have different astrological signs too. (Isn't that right? Aren't you two Virgo and Libra? Baby Girl and I will be Capricorn and Aquarius.)

Amanda - I hope you guys get to move here soon too. That'd rock. And yes, I figure that if I'm now at the point where I'm all "Induction! Woo-hoo!", this pregnancy thing has got to be pretty freakin' bad.

Okay, the first rule of pregnancy is DON'T CUT YOUR HAIR! You're lucky it turned out okay!

I thought I'd answer your questions here, since my mandajuice e-mail is broken:
1) Dave is sending resumes out this week, so as soon as he gets a job, we're moving. Who knows how long it will take, but for the love of all that is holy, I hope it's soon!
2) If the last month of pregnancy doesn't make you want to shoot yourself, you aren't human. Seriously. My theory is that it's horrible enough to make you actually LOOK FORWARD to the act of giving birth.
